Question: Any intel on NCIS? —Marsha
Ausiello: The Dec. 16 holiday episode (which also doubles as the fall finale) marks the return of three notorious cyber terrorists: Former Systems Administrator Kevin Hussein (played by Ethan Rains), Heidi Partridge (Erin Allin O’Reilly) and Lester Patel Ajay Khan (Vik Sahay). In the wake of a city-wide Internet blackout the week before Christmas, the NCIS team pulls the trio out of prison to help with the case, and, whaddaya know, I’ve got an exclusive first look at their comeback below!
When CBS’ NCIS opens Season 11 on Sept. 24, it won’t just be the viewers of TV’s most watched drama laying their eyes on McGee’s new girlfriend for the first time.
As first scooped by TVLine, Big Bang Theory alum Margo Harshman is playing the aforementioned Delilah, a smart and eccentric computer specialist in the cyber division at the Department of Defense. In this first look photo from the season opener, Abby — gloriously in full-on Goth mode — goes to meet up with her still-badgeless colleague, only to find him canoodling with his new (and traditionally attired) sweetie.
“There is some terrific triangle stuff that goes on with Abby,” show boss Gary Glasberg previously told TVLine, as part of our Fall Preview Spoiler Spectacular. “It’s a lot of fun, and we’ll see what comes of it.”
‘NCIS’ BOSS: ‘EVERYONE HAS TO WATCH THE FIRST TWO EPISODES’
I hear ya, NCIS fans. The departure of Cote de Pablo is an unfortunate turn of events, to say the least. NCIS EP Gary Glasberg was “saddened” by the situation, too, telling me earlier this week during CBS’ annual bash for television critics that “it’s the last thing we planned on.” That said, he promised, ”At the end of the day, I’m really happy with what we came up with. Everyone has to watch the first two episodes.”Why? Well, for one, he teased, the episodes were completely reworked in order to accommodate this curve ball. ”I literally had to lock myself away and everything I was planning on had to be blown out and I had to start all over again,” he says of the news, which came after plans for the season had already begun. “Again, it’s not what we had hoped for. This family — this NCIS family that exists between [the characters] — is so special and so unique, and this was Cote’s decision and we have to respect that … but some really fantastic work is going to come out of what occurred. We have some really terrific stuff planned for the year.”
So what ARE those plans? For one, Ziva will be “prominent” in the second episode of the season and “it’s a really touching, emotional story and I promise the viewers will not be disappointed — especially the Tiva fans, as we say. I hope it’s everything they want it to be.”
He adds: “I want some of it to be a surprise, but I think people will be pleased at the end of the day with where it’s left both emotionally and psychologically — and not only for Tony, but Gibbs, Abby, and everybody. That’s a big part of what I was taking into consideration — really understanding how the people and the fans are so connected to our characters. You really have to honor that.”
Who’s already crying?
And now… we, and Jethro, wait.
CBS’ NCIS sent 17 million jaws to the floor on Tuesday night, teeing up its imminent May sweeps run/dash for the finale with a devastating, made-you-jump-off-the-davenport car crash that slapped a question mark on the fates of both Tony and Ziva.
In this first-look photo from next Tuesday’s episode of TV’s most watched drama, titled “Revenge,” Gibbs is camped out at the hospital with Director Vance when McGee arrives to present new, critical intel on his phone.
How bad of shape are Tony and Ziva in? (Factoring in that Cote de Pablo is not yet signed for next season?) And will the episode’s titular revenge be attained? As showrunner Gary Glasberg previously told us, “I think people are going to be really blown away by how things unfold.”
A storm’s a-brewin’ on CBS’ NCIS, and his name is Navy Admiral John McGee — and TVLine has a first look at the VIParent’s arrival.
In “Squall,” the March 26 episode of TV’s most watched drama, the NCIS team boards the USS Borealis to investigate a crime in the wake of a brutal storm. With most everyone a suspect, the tension only builds when McGee discovers that his estranged father — played by guest star Jamey Sheridan (Homeland) — was on board during the incident.
Is Gibbs about to grill the McAdmiral? Or give him props for raising a good boy?
Is it better in the Bahamas, at least as far as Tony DiNozzo is concerned? Viewers of CBS’ NCIS will find out in the March 5 episode of TV’s most watched drama — and we’ve got an exclusive sneak peek.
In the episode “Prime Suspect,” as Gibbs’ barber seeks help in ruling out his son as a suspect in a high-profile case, Michael Weatherly’s DiNozzo — along with probationary agent Ned Dorneget (played by Matt Jones) — are sent to the Bahamas to track a suspect in a stolen money case.
In this pair of first look photos, one of DiNozzo’s first orders of Bahamas business seems to involve chatting up a bikini-clad blonde (played by General Hospital alum Andrea Bogart). Tough work, but….

Question: From your friends in Texas — got any Abby-related NCIS scoop? —Jackie
Ausiello: Abby’s debuting a provocative new look in the Feb. 5 episode — and we’ve got your exclusive first look at her extreme hair makeover (see photos, above and to the right). What’s the 411 on her crazy ‘do? According to an NCIS insider, Abby reveals that she recently came upon her Grandpa Sciuto’s homemade pomade recipe. And I think you can figure out what happened next.Question: Beggars can’t be choosers, nor can they be picky. So I’ll take anything NCIS-related you have. — Marilyn
Ausiello: Actually, I happen to have a killer spoiler for you – a serial killer spoiler, to be exact. In an upcoming episode, your favorite agents team up with D.C. Metro to bring down a mass murderer. But the partnership will be almost as tough to manage as the case will be to close – especially for the lead detective, who is very “one for all, all for one” until he thinks the feds have backstabbed him. (Oh, and check back soon: You’re gonna wanna know who the show casts as both the detective and his sidekick, a forensic scientist – both characters could recur.)
Fans of NCIS might have to wait until Jan. 29 for a new episode, but EW won’t make you wait for your first peek at the Abby-centric hour, titled “Hit and Run.”
In the episode, a case comes in to NCIS that “strikes a chord” with Abby (Pauley Perrette), according to executive producer Gary Glasberg, and it “gets her thinking about a situation from her past and gets her questioning some things about who she is and why she’s there and what she does.”
“We’ve done origin stories before — as you know — and it’s always been fun to look back,” Glasberg says. “With Abby specifically, I started to wonder if it might be more interesting to look back — not so much as when she joined NCIS — but when she became interested in forensics and solving puzzles. In my mind, that goes back to her as a child, and the idea of seeing Abby Sciuto as a child intrigued everybody. [We wanted to do] it in this almost To Kill a Mockingbird manner and [figure] out how we could flash back to see when those seeds were planted of who Abby would become.” (See another photo below.)
Glasberg says “Hit and Run” will likely not be the last juicy origin story NCIS delivers. “I’m always interested in getting to know these people and getting to know where they come from and what made them who they are,” he says. “And after 10 seasons, to still have the opportunity to scratch away at that is a gift. We’re having fun with it.”
Fans are also presumably having fun. In the ratings race, NCIS is second to none — even Idol. In fact, this week’s episode, which aired Tuesday, was the decade-old show’s second-highest rated hour ever.
